DSI Wired for Gigabit Network Connectivity

Oct 1, 2007. The Center for Data and Search Informatics has recently acquired four dedicated gigabit network lines, which will connect our laboratory to the high-speed network available across the Bloomington campus.

Our network links are powered by a Hewlett-Packard ProCurve Switch 4104gl, which will also offer improved access to the School of Informatics as a whole. The switch will drive the network connections to our coming DataCenter architecture, bridging the gap between our high-throughput compute cluster and Indiana University's supercomputer, Big Red.
